Juniors: U6-U10

  • Our U6-U10 Juniors program is a Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association Accredited youth soccer academy program. Focused on providing the highest level of youth soccer development in the Green Bay/Fox Valley region!

Our Juniors program is a direct affiliate of Minnesota United, one of Major League Soccer’s premier professional soccer programs. What that means for your player is that all our curriculum, programming and coaching staff are directly overseen by Minnesota United’s administration. With the leadership from MU, our coaching staff’s years of experience and some of the top soccer facilities around. We are able to offer our players the best youth development program in the region.

Our program strives to not only develop the player technically, but also to instill a life long love of the game, a desire to improve and an overall knowledge of the game through fun game like training environments and varied small sided game opportunities.  Juniors program players will play a fall and spring season each year. With 6-8 games in both the fall and the spring seasons.

    • Teams play small-sided games (U6 play 3v3 with no goalkeepers; U8 play 4v4 with no goalkeepers; U10 play 7v7 with goalkeepers) as we focus on improving each player’s technical ability with the ball.
    • Teams are coached by a licensed coach.
    • U8 players practice twice a week during the season with their team.  During the season U8 players will attend age group training once a week as well.
    • U10 players practice twice a week during the season with their team.  During the season U10 players will attend age group training once a week as well.
    • U8 & U10 games are played on Saturdays.
  • Our U6-U10 Juniors program provides a fun, safe, and developmentally appropriate soccer environment for 5- to 10-year-olds. Our program endeavors to present techniques during training and game environments in such a manner which promotes all players’ enjoyment of soccer.  Our goal is to develop a life-long love of the game, regardless of the eventual level of play a player attains.

We believe the learning process and the eventual degree to which a child can execute the basic techniques and tactics of the game is critical to a child’s existing and long-term enjoyment of soccer.  Our program policies value and promote retention, as much as new registration.  That metric is our best indicator that your child is enjoying his/her experience.

The Junior's program emphasizes developing the complete player in all 4 pillars of the game including: technical, tactical, physical, and psychological. Through our program players learn to be comfortable with the ball at their feet, have vision, handle pressure, be organized, and to work together while having fun as they develop a love for the game.

The U6-U10 Juniors program specialized curriculum helps players grow in their technical skills and learn the rules of soccer at a developmentally appropriate level for their age. Our program endeavors to present all players with the tools and opportunities, within age-specific and age-appropriate environments, to understand the basic individual and team tactics of 1v1 through 6v6 by the time they reach the Pre-Academy II age group.  All our coaches are presented with formal training plans for age-appropriate tactical expectations.  All players are presented with regular age-appropriate technical competitions to provide formal feedback (and motivation).  Players are regularly assessed in competitive environments by our knowledgeable Junior's staff.  Players will receive a solid foundation of coaching needed to continue into the Pre-Academy II level and onward.
